AnalytiikkaÄly is a two-year project for research, development, and implementation of learning analytics in higher education. The project aims to create new ways to support university studies with learning analytics applications and practices. Existing national and university-level databases, information systems and analytics tools will be combined with new, innovative solutions exploiting learning analytics. In this project, funded by Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture, seven Finnish universities collaborate in order to find new ways to develop learning analytics that supports individual study paths, planning of studies, teaching and guidance, educational leadership, and university governance.
Learning analytics exploits big data gathered from different study and learning processes. With the help of the feedback automatically generated with learning analytics, human decision-making, learning and different activities can be supported.
Project duration is August 2018-December 2020. The coordinating partner is University of Oulu and other partners are Aalto University, University of Eastern Finland, University of Lapland, LUT University, Tampere University and University of Turku.
